Who we support›Psychosocial disability
Support for adults with psychosocial disability.
For people living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression or anxiety, PTSD, or another mental health condition that affects daily life. Support planned for good weeks and bad ones.
What we understand about it
Psychosocial disability is what happens when a mental health condition gets in the way of ordinary life over a long time: keeping a home, keeping appointments, keeping in touch with people, keeping going.
It comes and goes, good weeks and bad ones. We plan the support for both.
You don't need to be well to start with us, and we don't stop when things get worse. You don't need to be sober either, or to explain what happened with the last provider.

How we support
Support coordination
Finding the right supports, keeping your GP, your psychiatrist and the NDIS talking to each other, and planning for the hard weeks before they arrive.
Support work
Getting to appointments, help at home when it's piled up, and someone alongside you in the community who isn't there to assess you.
The things around it
Housing, Centrelink, hospital discharge, court dates, alcohol and other drug services: the systems that get hard to manage when you're unwell. We work through them with you.

Getting started
How it starts
You don't need to be well to talk to us, or to have everything sorted.
Call us
Call us, or ask your case manager or a family member to call for you.
We meet you
We meet wherever you're comfortable.
We go through your plan
We go through your plan together if you have one, and agree on the first few things to change.
Questions
Things people ask us
Do I need a diagnosis to get support?
Not to talk to us. For NDIS funding, the NDIS looks for evidence that a condition is likely to be permanent and affects daily life. We can help you work out what that means for you.
What if I'm in hospital right now?
Ask the ward social worker or a nurse to call us. We can start planning before discharge so there's someone ready when you leave.
What happens when I have a bad week?
Your worker keeps coming. We change what the shift looks like instead of cancelling it. If you need clinical help, we help you get it, and we stay involved.
Do you work with my psychiatrist or case manager?
Yes, with your permission. Part of the job is making sure everyone involved has the same picture.
Do you support people who use drugs or alcohol?
Yes. You don't need to be sober to start, and we don't stop if you slip.
How we work
Good weeks and bad ones. We plan the support for both, and in a bad week your worker keeps coming.
