What we do›Housing and supported independent living
A home that's yours, with support that fits.
For people who need a home, are at risk of losing one, or whose plan funds support day and night. Finding it, keeping it and living in it your way.
Two things we help with
Finding and keeping a home. Applications, inspections, the lease, the bond and the first week. Then the things that put a tenancy at risk: arrears, complaints, a landlord who won't fix things, a housing worker who's stopped calling. We help you deal with all of it.
Supported independent living. For people whose plan funds a higher level of support at home, day and night. Your own room and routine, with workers who help with the parts you want help with, shared with others or on your own.

What we help with
Getting a place
Public and community housing applications, private rentals, transitional housing after hospital or custody. We're realistic about what's available and honest about the wait.
Keeping it
Rent and bills set up so they don't fall behind. Repairs chased, and disputes handled before they become notices. Your name stays on the lease.
Living in it
Supported independent living where your plan funds it. Routines, cooking, medication, getting out, and the overnight support some people need to live outside a facility.

Getting started
How it starts
Call us
Call us, or ask your support coordinator, hospital social worker or housing worker to.
Tell us the deadline
Tell us the deadline if there is one. We'll be realistic about what can happen by when.
What it costs
Your NDIS plan pays for support in your home if it's funded. Supported independent living is a specific line in a plan. If it isn't in yours yet, we'll tell you what the NDIS looks for and help you ask. Rent is separate. The NDIS doesn't pay it and neither do we. We'll be clear about that from the first conversation, and we'll help you find a place you can afford through our housing partners.
Questions
Things people ask us
Do you own houses?
No, and we don't pay anyone's rent. What we do is help you secure a place through our network of private housing partners, who work with us to provide affordable housing for people at risk of homelessness or with high support needs. You hold the lease, you pay the rent, and we support you to keep it.
What's the difference between SIL and support at home?
Support at home is a set number of hours a week. Supported independent living is for people who need support across most of the day and often overnight. Your plan says which you have.
Can I choose who I live with?
Yes. We aim to introduce you to anyone you might live with before a decision is made, and we ask you first.
I'm in hospital and have nowhere to go on discharge. Can you help?
Call us today, or ask the social worker to. Housing takes time, so the earlier we start the better. We've done this before and we know the pathways.
