We can also build your ideal specialist disability accommodation (SDA Robust Housing) home if you have high care needs. Whatever your living goals might be, Nima Care has a dedicated team of professionals with the expertise to match and we’ll make sure you have a safe, comforting place to stay where all your support needs are met.

We have specialist experience in helping people exit the justice system and transition back into society. So if you have NDIS funding and need help finding accommodation, get in touch for a chat.

STA

When you need a home away from home for up to 14 days. We have a range of comfortable rental properties where you can relax and be taken care of if you are just looking for a break from your routine.

MTA

The NDIS funds medium-term accommodation for up to 90 days for participants who have a home to move into but are waiting for their supports to be ready. We can provide modern, welcoming options to suit your needs.

SIL

Supported Independent Living includes help with daily activities in the home so that you can live independently. Our friendly and professional SIL services can be provided in your home or in our STA and MTA properties.

Accommodation & Tenancy Assistance

The NDIS provides funding for accommodation and tenancy supports when participants are unable to find accommodation and manage their tenancy obligations independently. It includes assessment and assistance with finding suitable housing in your preferred location. Nima Care has the knowledge and resources to help you not only find your ideal home, but to enjoy a fulfilling relationship with your landlord and housemates, ensuring that your needs are understood and met.

What is the difference between STA and MTA?

What is the difference between STA and MTA?

Both short-term accommodation and medium-term accommodation can be considered as a home away from home for a pre-determined period of time. STA is funded by the NDIS for 14 days at a time and can be used if you want to try something new, if your family is on vacation or if your caregiver is away. MTA can be used for up to 90 days and is usually for people who are waiting for permanent accommodation or supports to become available. We provide both STA and MTA at our rental properties in Victoria.

I already have a home – can you provide SIL in my current property?

Yes! Nima Care offers supported independent living (SIL) supports in participants’ homes to help you live more independently while having your individual disability requirements met.

Can you organise to have a home built to my needs from scratch?

Yes, Nima Care can source and manage the build of a fully accessible NDIS-funded home from scratch. If your disability prevents you from living in standard accommodation, we will source experienced builders to create the ideal specialist disability accommodation (SDA) for you with the support features that you need such as wheelchair ramps, wide doorways, bathroom safety rails and more.

I am just exiting the justice system – can you help me find somewhere to live?

Nima Care has expertise in justice-related supports, so we are perfectly positioned to help all NDIS participants who are transitioning from the justice system back into society. We help NDIS-funded inmates who are leaving the system to find suitable housing solutions.

How do I obtain NDIS funding for accommodation?

The first step is to apply to the NDIS if you are not already a participant. An assessment will be done to determine the extent of your needs, and the NDIS will decide how much funding you are eligible for based on your specific requirements and the intensity level of your disability. If you are already a participant and your needs have changed, speak to your provider or the NDIA about adjusting your plan to include accommodation supports.

Can you help me with a temporary accommodation solution while my permanent home is being built?

Yes! Nima Care offers comfortable medium-term accommodation for just this purpose. You can stay in one of our rental properties for up to three months, funded by the NDIS, while your home is being built.

Can you assist with accommodation and tenancy issues?

We can help with all your accommodation & tenancy requirements. This is an NDIS-funded support that helps you find and keep accommodation that is well-suited to your individual disability support needs. From short-term to permanent accommodation, we can help you find a place to stay, understand contracts, complete application forms and stay up to date with payments. We can also help to facilitate communication between participants and landlords or housemates if needed.
